The National Accountability Bureau and the National Bank of Pakistan collaborated with each other for conducting training workshop of five days. The two merged in order to work on “Financial Crime Investigation”. The training session was kept at the NBP Bank’s staff college in Karachi where different officials from both organization participated.
The DG of NAB, Lt Colonel (R) Sirajul Naeem inaugurated the 5-day program starting from November 7th and ending November 11th. Among the key participants were deputy assistant directors, deputy, directors and additional directors from NAB, representing from all-over Pakistan.
The reason to conduct this session was to make known to officers of NAB about the possible frauds and their investigation, and other counterfeits concerning banks. The efforts of the bank in conducting the training program were recognized by NAB’s director general in his closing remarks.
The director general replied by giving confirmation about the effectiveness of their services that will come from the training. He said that it would assist the team to get on board dangerous assignments as only true knowledge and understanding can help untangle assignments properly.
On returning remarks, the president of NBP – Mr. Syed Ahmed Iqbal Ashraf expressed his gratitude to National Accountability Bureau for the efforts they showed by trusting NBP to make the collaboration successful which will definitely help the banking industry in future.
Lastly, the program saw distribution of certificates amid those who participated.
